Donkey milk is rich in aesthetic properties and has numerous uses in the aesthetic field.
The cosmetic properties of donkey milk were already known in ancient times so much so that it was used by some of the most important women in history, such as Cleopatra and Poppea, who used to take donkey milk baths for skin care.
In fact, thanks to its vitamins and minerals, the topical use of donkey milk is useful:
- Against wrinkles and stretch marks caused by the loss of skin tone. Donkey milk provides vitamin C, a precursor of collagen and vitamin E which, due to its lipid nature, is inserted at the dermal level, recompacting the structure of the skin which will appear soft and nourished.
- Against psoriasis characterized by thickening and keratization of some regions of the body (mini, elbows …). Particularly useful in this case is the action of vitamin A which promotes cell turnover and skin exfoliation.
- Against cellular aging, vitamins A, C and E are powerful antioxidants capable of counteracting the deleterious action of free radicals, which cause cellular aging. For this reason, donkey milk plays an important role in the prevention of wrinkles and skin spots.
- Against dermatitis and skin irritations with various causes. Several studies have shown that vitamin D, accumulating in the dermal layer, is able to relieve the symptoms of inflammation.
